Unpaid Internships: ALEPH Data Cleanup

The first member of the MNPALS consortium to request internships has contacted MCTC and they are looking for LIT program students (current or graduated).  Some things to consider: it’s unpaid and in Cambridge MN, but it’s really flexible, has a variety of opportunities and you could just commit to one week in order to fulfill the requirement.  Here’s the blurb:

The library on the Cambridge campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College is seeking an intern to help with a large clean-up of the library’s catalog.  The internship will be unpaid and for the duration of 20 hours. The schedule is fairly flexible; hours can be completed anytime within the hours following:

Mondays 8:00AM-7:30PM
Tuesdays 9:30AM-8:00PM
Wednesdays 8:00AM-3:00PM
Thursdays 9:30AM-8:00PM.

Duties may include:
·       Scanning of items for inventory
·      Fixing errors in catalog records using ALEPH
·       Checking materials in and out to students
·       Answering reference questions
·       Assisting students with locating appropriate library resources
·      Other library related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
·      Enrollment in a Library Science or Library Tech program

Deadline: March 21st, 2016

To apply please email a resume to Candice.Young@anokaramsey.edu
