College invites applicants for the position of Interim
Acquisitions Coordinator. The Coordinator performs the procurement
function for library materials in all formats so that students and faculty
have access to current relevant library resources.
The interim position begins October 15 with a three-week training period of
10 hours per week and continues for one to three months at 20 hours per
week. The successful applicant will be invited and encouraged to apply for
the regular position of Acquisitions Coordinator. That position is 0.875
FTE (35 hours per week) with full benefits included.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to pay attention to details,
be accurate, be skillful with numbers, follow established procedures, work
independently, solve problems, and multi-task. The successful candidate
will have experience with library and vendor online databases used for
ordering and managing library materials. The candidate should have an
understanding of online accounting systems which help manage finances.
Primary Responsibilities
Orders all library resources: pre-searches, transmits, receives, and
processes invoices of orders.
Downloads library records from OCLC cataloging database into III
acquisitions database.
Enters vendor, cost, and selector information into III database and assigns
fund accounts.
Submits invoices to Administrative Accounting Office and monitors,
troubleshoots, and balances library account in the College?s computer
financial system (Agresso).
Supervises students who assist in acquisitions functions.
