Scope of work:
Students are typically assigned to perform the following:
● Service desk assistance to students, faculty and staff
○ Check material in and out
○ Help with basic printing, copying and technical support
○ Answer questions
● Collection and library maintenance
○ Shelve books
○ Inventory collection
○ Clean
● Technical services
○ Process new books and other collection materials
○ Update or withdraw currently owned items
Preferred qualifications:
We will most seriously consider students with any of the following:
● Ability to work morning, weekend, and/or evening shifts
● Customer service experience
● Ability to effectively use modern computer applications
● Previous employment in libraries or other information agencies
● Enrollment or completion of INFS 1000
About workstudy
MCTC's work study program provides you with opportunities to earn money to help with the cost of your education while learning valuable workplace skills. Most students are eligible for student employment through the work study program. The maximum award permits students to work 20 hours per week. Awards vary based on individual circumstances.
