Applications are open for MILE 2019!
The Minnesota Library Association (MLA) Institute for Leadership Excellence (MILE) is a subunit of MLA that gives participants an opportunity to grow leadership skills, connect with library professionals from around Minnesota, and be paired with a mentor. MILE helps you discover the leader within yourself and learn to lead effectively today—even if your current position is not one of leadership.
We are also looking for mentors to share their experience and knowledge with this year’s attendees.

MN Job: Hennepin County Library Customer Service Specialist
Library Customer Service - Specialist
HCL is currently accepting applications for
Library Customer Service Specialists at many library branches. The Specialist
position only requires a GED or diploma + some customer service experience, and
is one where the system has been very motivated to hire folks from local
communities to reflect the diversity of patrons. Specialists work at library
desks to provide basic information, and they also process library books and
other materials. The application is only open through Wednesday, 11/21.
It will improve your application if you indicate a willingness to
work at any location as this applicant pool will be used to create a list for
future positions as well as current openings.
It’s a good wage, union-represented,
with outstanding benefits.

St Paul Public Library: Library Associate exam is posted
The eligible list created from the Library Associate exam assessment will also be used to fill both part time and full time Library Associate positions as they become available in the Library Department.
