The Data Management Specialist I will work with team members to gather data and improve quality for the MinnesotaHelp.infoR database and website (www.minnesotahelp.info).  MinnesotaHelp.infoR provides a statewide database of over 30,000 human and community services to meet the needs of seniors, people with disabilities, families, caregivers, and more.  The Data Management Specialist I ensures that data is comprehensive and clear in order to help meet the needs of consumers throughout the state of Minnesota.

The ideal candidate will possess:

    Ability and enthusiasm for working with information about social and human services as well as database and related software tool technologies.
Ability and willingness to learn new skills quickly and as necessary including new software applications.
    A Bachelor's Degree is required in a human service, library science, or information technology field.
    Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
    Demonstrated ability to understand and work effectively in a complex information management environment.
    Minimum of 1 year experience working with databases.  Experience writing database queries is a plus.
    Demonstrated use of technology to solve problems.
    Strong proficiency in Internet research, Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Word and Excel.  Prior experience with MS Access is a plus.
    Ability to be self-directed, as well as the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
