CLIC Business/Office Manager

The CLIC Business/Office Manager assists the Executive Director in carrying out fiscal and administrative responsibilities; oversees purchasing, insurance, and billing, performs bookkeeping and related functions, including processing invoices, preparing financial statements, payroll, filing taxes, etc.; preserves financial data and documents; serves as content manager for the CLIC website; provides scheduling and committee liaison support services. Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in management or related field with no previous experience, or four to six years of equivalent experience

Aptitude for performing tasks thoroughly, with attention to detail

Demonstrated bookkeeping experience

Good typing/keyboarding skills, including word processing and data entry experience

Experience using personal computer for bookkeeping (Peachtree preferred), word processing, spread sheets and web page software (Dreamweaver preferred)

Ability to communicate information orally and in writing

Ability to exercise good judgment for distinguishing when to resolve problems and when to refer problems to others

Flexibility regarding changes in schedules or procedures

Ability and initiative to work responsibly without immediate supervision

Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with CLIC office personnel, CLIC library staffs and outside contacts such as accountants, financial representatives, courier and suppliers

Excellent customer service and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience using Peachtree accounting software, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), and Dreamweaver is highly desirable.

SALARY RANGE

$40,000-$45,000 depending on experience

ACCOUNTABILITY

The financial viability of the consortium relies, in part, on accurate and timely financial information. Proper execution of bookkeeping and accounting procedures is critical for managing the organization’s information.

The integrity, attention to detail, and thoroughness of the individual in this position must be extremely high. It is desirable that the person in this position develop an understanding of the library services provided by the consortium.
